ABOUT THE TEACHER
Gabriel Cooper is a certified mindfulness clinician and licensed psychotherapist associate. I specialize in working with people in major life transitions, dating or marriage issues, living with an invisible disability or chronic illnesses, and navigating as LGBTQ2+ folks. Through understanding their lived experience, together we explore issues such as anxiety, addiction, loneliness, relationships, and shame to open a life of possibility and ease suffering.

I offer teletherapy and in-person sessions in California practicing under Dr. Bryce McDavitt, who specializes in work with self-esteem and the LGBTQ2+ community. My approach integrates depth therapy and evidence-based practices including trauma-focused EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and interpersonal neurobiology. Trained in mindfulness under author Dr. Christiane Wolf, he holds degrees from UC Berkeley, Northwestern, and CSU Northridge. He stays current as a postgraduate in wellbeing research at Cambridge and by teaching groups of fellow therapists.

Off of the cushion, you will find him with his mutt and husband attempting to bake, exploring new places, and taking long runs.
